My Education and Credentials

In 2022, I graduated from the University of Missouri - Saint Louis with a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a graduate certificate in Multicultural Counseling and Social Justice. I’ve completed 70 credit hours of graduate work - more than most program graduates.

I am a provisionally licensed professional counselor in the state of Missouri with nearly 3,000 hours of counseling experience; I’m under the supervision of Alicia Beatty, LPC. Outside of providing individual and couples counseling, I have two years’ worth of experience facilitating intensive outpatient group therapy.

Between stimulus and response there is space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.

The Fun Stuff

When I don’t have on my counseling hat, I can be found at home or in a coffee shop reading or writing. I LOVE museums and animals (if you have a pet, you can expect me to inquire)! I also enjoy going on walks and spending quality time with my friends and family.

Books that have left an impact on me include Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl (those closest to me can confirm that I quote him ad nauseam), Becoming by Michelle Obama and The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down by Anne Fadiman.

Films that I love include Marie Antoinette, American Beauty and (shamelessly) any Harry Potter movie.

Music has always been important to me. Olivia Dean, Rhye, Bon Iver and SZA are some of my top listens within the last few years.

Parting Words

I’m in this career because I believe this is where I can make the best impact with the time I have here in this life, with the people I’m sharing the world with - using my empathy to help people so that they can help people, and they can help people, and so on. If you connect with this mission, send me a message - let’s work together.

What’s with the horse?

The image of a running horse symbolizes self-trust and courage to me. I started this practice as a response to an intuitive pull toward what felt true and value-aligned.
